I paid money for this and the free ones are better what a rip off it never understands whats in the pics and just translated gibberish

Doesnt even work, whatever it "translates" usually comes out with random numbers and is just indecipherable dribble. I wish Id remembered to check the reviews before wasting a dollar

It is really bad!!!!!!!!!

Not very good. Worked once out of the 20 or so times I tried it. Not worth the 99¢.

It never gets anything right. Instead of real words it begins showing numbers and signs. I want a refund!

bought thinking this would be a nice app. Useless, if you travel to Asia, forget it, this app has nothing for you - get a different app that has Asian language that can be translated to English.

Couldnt translate anything. Results in lots of numbers and letters and symbols but no translations. Beware

Needed this for work and it wont translate Italian to English. A waste

I took an iN-focus shot of ONE word: leggere from a printed page in a book & used the flash. I cropped it to a full screen view. The image was B / W!!! I know not how to get a better image! After almost 40 seconds of wheel grinding, the translated page was full of mostly symbols & -:;()$&& etc. NOTHING remotely resembling "to read" ! I photographed and cropped no fewer than 7 live images ... plus 3 images from my photo album. I would ask for a refund but Apple gets cranky having to make good on all these KRAP apps they let slip through. There is a good one out there . .. sOMEwhere! N - O - T this one !

I didnt only waste my time but also money. This app is trash.. I want my money back!

I took a picture of a German Doc to convert to english...it printed EXACTLY what was there in German with NO TRANSLATION. What crap! Waste of time!!!

Please do not buy this app, I didnt see the reviews AND I REGRET IT man all it does is numbers. Excuse me sir I dont speak math.

The app doesnt work at all. Ive tried it on very simple typed text and it just returns what appears to be computer code, not even words in either language.

It is a nice app. New version is better.

Working from my iPhone the app crashed during 50% of the translation attempts. I use the word attempts because the app failed to translate 100% of the time, even when taking a shot of block letters and going from English to English. The delivery was gibberish. The interface is slick and easy to use, and of excellent design, but with a 100% failure rate, it was useless. Languages attempted: English, Arabic, Dutch, and Italian. Certainly this is a complex creation, and prone to difficulties, but its wrong to make it available if it cant succeed at the majority of its attempts.

When I travel to foreign countries, it may be very useful.

It supposed to have Russian but doesnt. Waste of money.
