Photo Translator

I took an iN-focus shot of ONE word: leggere from a printed page in a book & used the flash. I cropped it to a full screen view. The image was B / W!!!
I know not how to get a better image!
After almost 40 seconds of wheel grinding, the translated page was full of mostly symbols & -:;()$&& etc.
NOTHING remotely resembling "to read" !
I photographed and cropped no fewer than 7 live images ... plus 3 images from my photo album.
I would ask for a refund but Apple gets cranky having to make good on all these KRAP apps they let slip through.
There is a good one out there . .. sOMEwhere!
